In April/May 2015 we spent 7 days in Catalonia, Spain. We flew into Barcelona and met with our guide for the week ~ Stephen Christopher of Catalan Bird Tours ~ we stayed in the Platjador Hotel in Sitges. Paul came with us, we enjoyed the trip and visiting the Pyrenees so much we decided to return in February 2016, this time for four days and Derek came with us as well. We drove up the snowy roads on the Pyrenees and had a picnic lunch at Coll de Pal ~ 6000' ASL, in the Moixero National Parc, fabulous location for lunch, and despite the snow it wasn't particularly cold, and the snow actually "sparkled". We also drove the Spanish Steppe and visited Monserrat ~ The Serrated Mountain. We visited Llobregat Reserve in Barcelona, and the Garraf National Parc above Barcelona, Mobregat Wetland Reserve, Aiguamolls Emporda and the Ebro Delta. The birds were fabulous and the scenery was stunning.
