We visited Hungary in September 2009, our tour guide was Hungarian Bird Tours ~ Roy Adams. Our accommodation was the Villa Volgy situated in the Wine Region of Eger. Hungary was a fascinating country, we liked it so much we returned in May 2011. Roy took us all over the wine regions and showed us many wonderful birds and places including the Basilica in Eger, the Hortobagy Plains and the Bukk National Forest. We saw 8 separate species of Woodpecker and many raptors. Roy is a great guide and the Villa Volgy is a lovely hotel. We will return.
